Exploration Of Partnership Opportunities Between India and Cameroon
B to B meeting of Indian business leaders and Cameroonian enterprises: the pathway to cementing and expanding trade ties.
A delegation of Indian business men visited the economic capital city of Douala on September 25 ,2024 in a bid to explore partnership opportunities with Cameroon enterprises .
The fourteen man delegation was led by India’s High Commissioner to Cameroon, Vijay Kanduja took out time to meet with the local business community at the Cameroon Chamber pf Commerce, Industries,Mines and craft (CCIMA).
The objective of the come together was to seek ways of expanding trade and investment ties between Caneroon and India .
According to the business head of Mohan Mutha group from India ,Ajay Jain, they believe in getting available technical or good expertise in place against digital transformation.
To him they are keeping the global scenarios in mind and making sure that their country prospers in a good way, their people get educated and above all act as one family.
The Indian business man equally pointed out that they are open to discuss any brand of business ans serve in whatever way they can in their capacity as B to B.
India, Cameroon’s third largest trading partner supplies key products like liquified natural gas, petroleum products ,technological equipment
The delegation expressed interest in investing in sectors such as agro- industry ,
Pharmaceuticals and construction, aiming to tap into Cameroon’s growing market.
His Excellency ,Vijay Khanduja, the Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon pointed out that his country needs products and services from Cameroon and so the business men should take advantage of what can be done together as a family.
« We are a brotherly delegation, and my job as High Commissioner is to put the two sides together ». H.E Vijay Khanduja stated
On his part, the president of the industry section at the Chamber of Commerce, Tala Kwate, underscored Cameroon’s strategic position in Central Africa.
He emphasised that the country’s access to Nigeria and the opportunities presented by the Continental Free Trade Area ,which could enhance trade beyond national borders.
According to Mr Kwate,all negotiations are based on dialogue,notably on what they are asking and what their Indian counterparts are bringing in order to have a balanced solution at the end of the day.
It was equally fertile grounds for local entrepreneurs to network in a B to B meeting with the Indian delegation to negotiate business partnerships.
