Works resume along the Olembe-Obala-Echangeur Stretch of Road

Rehabilitation works have resumed on the Olembe-Obala- Echangeur section of the National road number 1, by the Egyptian construction company Arab Contractors Cameroon LTD. This information is according to a press release signed by the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi. As per the release, the company won the contract following a restricted tender process launched by the ministry in March 2024.

The company has 24 months to complete works on the 22Km stretch of road which crosses the Mfoundi, Mefou and Afamba and Lekié in the Centre region. The project has been estimated at about CFAF 22 billion, while technical control will be ensured by the group of Cameroonian design offices for a total amount of CFAF 1 billion.
