Cameroon Prepares for AFCON 2025 Qualifier Against Zimbabwe in Kampala
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are gearing up for their second AFCON 2025 qualifier against Zimbabwe, following a crucial 1-0 victory over Namibia in their opening match. Currently leading Group J with 3 points, Cameroon aims to solidify its position at the top with a win in Kampala.
The team completed a recovery session yesterday at their hotel, led by physical trainer Christophe Manouvrier. The indoor session was designed to stimulate upper and lower body muscles, keeping the squad physically sharp ahead of the Zimbabwe encounter.
Originally scheduled for 12 PM, the team’s final training session has been rescheduled to 5 PM at Kampala International School due to Uganda’s match against Congo at the Mandela National Stadium.
In an administrative update, assistant coach Joachim Mununga will once again be absent from the bench. Mununga, who was sent to the stands during Cameroon’s previous match against Namibia, has been excluded from CAF’s official list for matchday two. The exclusion stems from an incident in which Mununga refused to hand over his passport for identification.
No pre-match press conference is scheduled, with only a post-match press conference set to take place after the game tomorrow.
