The operation to track down unidentified commercial motor bike riders in Douala has entered full gear.

Launched on October 1,2024 , the neighbourhoods of Akwa , Deido and Bali are those concerned, making it difficult for city dwellers who rely on motor bike transportation , as the municipal police elements are currently making sure that only commercial motor bikes duly regiatered by the city council circulate.

They are identified by their jackets bearing the logo of the Douala City Council.

Information from the city council reveals thar one third out of the eight hundred thousand( 800.000) commercial motor bike riders who ply the strrets of Douala are not registered
