Cameroon International Tourism Fair « Wejeli Weh Gbamu » Set to Showcase Cultural Richness in Limbe

The Cameroon International Tourism Fair, « Wejeli Weh Gbamu, » will be held at the Limbe Botanic Garden from November 21-23, 2024. This annual event, now in its fourth edition, aims to promote Cameroon’s rich cultural and natural heritage while fostering collaboration within the tourism sector.
Strengthening Tourism in Limbe

A preparatory meeting was held on October 30 with key tourism stakeholders and organizers to discuss objectives for the fair. Mme Mbembe Mbong Vanessa, Chief of Division for Economic, Social, and Cultural Affairs, representing the governor, encouraged active collaboration to boost tourism. She emphasized the importance of government support for local initiatives that position Cameroon as a prime destination in Africa.
Tourism as a Solution to Youth Unemployment

The event’s initiator, Agatha Iyok, CEO of Flora Travel and Tours, highlighted the potential of tourism to create employment for young people across Cameroon. She expressed optimism that the fair would showcase opportunities in the tourism sector, encouraging investment and drawing attention to Cameroon’s breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and unique cultural experiences.

The 2024 edition of « Wejeli Weh Gbamu » promises a vibrant platform for tourism professionals, businesses, and visitors to explore the vast touristic potential of Cameroon.
